For almost thirty years the Schuman-Liles Clinic has provided quality outpatient psychiatric programs to serve Alameda County’s demand for mental health care. We will continue to provide these services, but we cannot do it alone. We need the support of individuals and organizations that are willing to help the clinic meet its mission. If you are interested in learning how to become involved with your community please contact Letha Barnett at (510) 569-9334 or fax: (510) 569-9309.
Our Mission
“Our Mission at the Schuman-Liles Clinic is helping chronically mentally ill persons learn to manage symptoms of their illnesses so they can lead more active and satisfying lives in their communication.”
In order to follow our mission, the Clinic provides consultation on the entire range of psychiatric medications. We educate patients about the use and abuse of these medications, as well as early warning signs and steps to follow should symptoms arise. Further, we collaborate with residential treatment programs, work rehabilitation services, and partial-hospitalization programs. We also work closely with primary care and specialist physicians and dentists to ensure proper medical and dental care.
